Darryl
Darryl Eastabrook BOptom DipOcPharm
Darryl graduated as an optometrist from the University of Auckland and in 2006 gained his therapeutic qualification with a Certificate in Ocular Pharmacology and Postgraduate Diploma in Ocular Therapeutics.
He has worked at Visique Wight Optometrists for 24 years, the last 16 years as the owner. He enjoys all aspects of optometry especially contact lenses and therapeutics but most of all Darryl enjoys patient care and interacting with people. He endeavours always to get the best possible visual outcome for each person.
Outside of optometry his interests include family and tramping with a keen interest in rugby and cricket.
Maria
Maria Pais BOptom, DipOcPharm, MA (Theology)
Maria graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry from the University of Auckland. In 2005 she completed the Certificate in Ocular Pharmacology and Postgraduate Diploma in Ocular Therapeutics and has been practicing as a Therapeutic Optometrist since. In 2015 Maria became a Glaucoma Care Provider. In March 2018 Maria completed further training in Glaucoma management through the University of Auckland.
Maria enjoys general optometry with special areas of interest and expertise in ocular disease management and children’s vision.
Maria loves her profession and is focused on the dignity and wellbeing of every person. This is demonstrated in her care for each individual person and her passion for detailed and tailored patient care.
Outside of work Maria is also involved in pastoral ministry of youth and young adults in her parish and the wider Catholic Church. Maria has just completed her Masters in Theology from Melbourne’s John Paul II Institute. She also really likes rugby!

Eva McClutchie
Eva has been part of Visique Wight Optometrists since February 2007. Eva is an Optical Assistant and also proficiently handles the administrative duties in the practice. Her friendly, caring personality and eye for detail ensures the best service is provided to all our patients. Her skills include glazing spectacles, frame selection, frame repairs, helpful advice and contact lens teaching. She is an integral part of the team at Visique Wight.

Johneen Dagg
Johneen first joined the team at Visique Wight Optometrists in January 2004. Her keen eye for style and fashion and her unique ability to find the perfect frame for every face takes the stress out of frame selection for all concerned! Johneen also manages the daily administrative duties and deals with all the accounts. In her spare time Johneen enjoys socialising with friends and is completely besotted with her grandchildren.
